Default Michael King's Sunbeams

Here are a few shots of my Sunbeam's a 1963 Sunbeam Alpine SII and a 1966 Sunbeam Tiger MKIA. The Alpine was my first car that i bought in 1996. it actually participated in the VHRR practice day at Calder in February 1997. I imported The Tiger mid 2007, hopefully i will run it in some regularity events soon.

1963 Alpine SII:
Motor:
SI alpine block (1494cc) bored 30thou over, block decked. Skimmed head, revised combustion chamber shape, revised cooling passages, ported and polished intakes (enlarged) ported exhaust. 3 angle valve grind. 10.6:1 compression. Revised cam. Bosch scorcher electronic ignition. stock 4-2-1 headers.Twin 40DCOE webers from Holbay H120 motor.
Gearbox
(about to be installed) full syncro Overdrive (series V alpine)
Diff:
3.889:1
Wheels + suspension:
14x6" Superlites with Falken Azenis tyres
front suspension, stock + spax adjustable gas shocks.
rear, converted to telescopic shocks





1966 Tiger MKIA:
Motor:
302 ford motorsports 340bhp crate motor, GT40 alloy heads, roller rocker/cam, Weiand 180 intake, Edelbrock 650, CAT ceramic coated headers
Gearbox
Ford toploader
Diff:
3.07 Dana LSD
Wheels + suspension:
14x6" Panasports, spax adjustable gas shocks, 10.5" vented front discs, 10" rear discs.
